Tackling alcohol abuse requires a team approach involving parents, teachers, community organizations, law enforcement officials, the alcohol beverage industry, prevention authorities, beverage retailers and many others. Anheuser-Busch and its wholesalers like National Distributors have built alliances with people and groups in these areas, as well as with state government agencies that have resulted in the positive progress that has been achieved to prevent abuse.
The Anheuser-Busch Responsibility Matters program leads initiatives to prevent under-age drinking, prevent drunk driving, encourage responsibly drinking and prevent alcohol abuse.
In addition, National Distributors supports the following programs:
GAZIANO AWARD
The Annual Frank J. Gaziano Memorial Offensive and Defensive Lineman Award is a scholarship and awards program for Maine high school football players created in memory of National Distributors founder Frank J. Gaziano.
National Distributors provides the funding for the $14,000 scholarships.
