Introducing “Smoked Dark”: A Rare Dark Lager Benefiting the Maine Children’s Museum

“Sacred Profane is thrilled to announce the release of “Smoked Dark,” a limited-edition smoked dark lager crafted using local Alder wood smoked malt sourced from Blue Ox Malthouse in Lisbon Falls, Maine. This unique brew showcases rich flavors of roasted barley and delicate hints of smoke, making it a perfect fall favorite. Brewed in support of the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine’s Community Fund, helping to open the door to all children and families and setting the stage for every child to imagine and learn through play. Join us for the launch event on October 24th at their After Dark Halloween celebration, where beer enthusiasts can taste this exceptional brew while contributing to a great cause. Additionally, the official release will be held throughout beer week at multiple supporting Portland accounts such as Room for Improvement, Novare Res Bier Café, High Roller Lobster Company, Thirsty Pig and more to benefit the Maine Brewers Guild efforts to highlight Maine’s vibrant beer community & culture! Together, let’s raise a glass to creativity, community, and our children’s future!

Smoked Dark features floor malted Pilsner malt from Blue Ox, smoked in house with Alder wood, floor malted Moravian Munich and Vienna malt, and Sladek hops. Triple decocted, open fermented, naturally carbonated, lagered for 6 weeks. Available on draft and in 16oz printed cans.”
