September is Cider Season

With September officially here, now is the perfect time of year to check out some of our ciders. Most of these are available year-round! We are so excited to have so many great options made here locally in Maine.

MAINE HARD CIDERS

  • Freedoms Edge – Original Cider
Freedom’s Edge flagship blend. Our goal here was to balance tannic structure, bright acidity and beautiful aromatics. Achieved by blending tannic bittersweets with aromatic, acid forward desert fruit and back sweetening to dry/off-dry.
  • Freedoms Edge – Pied Pippin
Made with whole fruit, just as the early summer tart from which it was inspired. Subtle but distinct rhubarb on the nose. Sweet strawberries balanced by the tart tang of rhubarb on the palate.
  • Freedoms Edge – The Juice
Our interpretation of a modern American “Unfiltered” style. Local dessert fruit fermented clean and dry, then back-sweetened with our own cryo-concentrated cider. Fresh apple, honeycomb and slight vegetal notes on the nose and finish.
  • Norumbega – Berry Medley
Accented with blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries which lend a familiar berry tartness, this cider has a clean fruit flavor and playful rose color.
  • Norumbega – Classic Dry
A blend of Maine-grown dessert fruit, our flagship cider is light, crisp and dry not but too tart. Enjoy year-round.
  • Norumbega – Cyser
A word that traditionally means ‘cider fermented with honey’ our Cyser [SIGH-zuhr] is just barely off-dry with a delicate honey nose and a slightly smooth honey palette. Enjoy year round.
