National Distributors Inc. Celebrates 50 Years in the
Beverage Distribution Business

PORTLAND, Maine - On Monday, December 13, National Distributors Inc., based in South Portland, hosted a company gathering at the University of Southern Maine to celebrate the company's 50 years of business in Maine. As part of the event, company President Jeff Kane was presented a certificate of achievement for 50 years of business from the 125th Legislature. The expression of sentiment was presented by Senator Jonathan Courtney, Majority Leader, Maine Senate District 3. Upon receiving the recognition, Kane thanked his over 170 employees for their commitment and dedication to customer service and for carrying on the legacy of the company's late founder, Frank Gaziano, who passed away earlier this year.

"On behalf of our entire company, we are honored to receive this recognition from Senator Courtney and the Maine Legislature. We take great pride in doing business in Maine, providing our employees with great jobs and creating a positive work environment. When we looked back at the 50 years, we knew we had to have a great event to remember Frank and show all of our team members our plans for the future," said Kane. 

The company gathering provided a unique opportunity for the employees to come together and celebrate their success. President Jeff Kane premiered a video created for the event that celebrated the 50-year history of the company. He introduced the Board of Directors that includes Frank Gaziano's daughters, Judy Kane and Jill Mitchell. He also spoke about the new Gaziano Offensive and Defensive Lineman Awards that have been created to honor Frank. On January 23, the final outstanding high school lineman award winners will be announced and recognized at a banquet at the Augusta Civic Center.

Kane also noted the dedication Frank had to the family-owned business has carried over to its current long-time team members. He highlighted four employees that have been working for the company for over 30 years. The dedicated group includes Scott Hutchinson (30), Jeffrey Kane (31), Carmine Castaldo (34) and George Stryker (35).
