April 2016

Greetings!

The weather has been all over the place this April, but it feels like winter is finally behind us. Needless to say, we are excited that summer is right around the corner. Even though it is still technically spring, in the beer world summer starts early! All of our summer seasonals are already available in house. We have some exciting new products that are perfect summer thirst quenchers and a bunch of craft and import beer options now available in the can. So if you're on the beach or 'upta' camp this summer, we've got you covered! To find out more, check out our seasonal selections here.

I would like to thank everyone that attended and participated at our Spring Beverage Show. We had an amazing turnout and the response was wonderful. Every year, it just gets bigger and better. If you weren't able to attend this year, make it a point to attend next year. It is an event not to be missed.

Also, you can see our full product portfolio by going to our website at www.nat-dist.com and to the "Our Products" section of the site. Can't Go Wrong with Cans

More and more, brewers are starting to package more of their beer in cans. Cans have generally been reserved for the big beer producers due to the cost of production, but now craft and specialty brands are offering more can options. Cans ensure a fresher beer (since no flourescent light is allowed in), are more disposable and easier to transport. Many outdoor venues/beaches/clubs do not allow bottles for safety reasons, so cans are the only option. When it comes to cans, we have tons of choices for you. From hoppy crafts to refreshing shandys, we've got you covered this summer! Can you dig it? (click image to enlarge)

Seasonal Selections

Spring is upon us which means summer is almost here. In the beer world, we like to get summer started early. That being said, here are a handful of summer selections that will help you ease into the nicer weather.

If you are in the mood for a fruity beer, look no further than our hugely popular 21st Amendment Hell or High Watermelon, an American wheat beer brewed with real watermelon for a flavor that's surprisingly crisp, dry and refreshing.

A new fruit-forward option for this season is Harpoon Brewery's Camp Wannamango. Camp Wannamango is a pale ale brewed with mango. It begins with a subtle tropical aroma of passion fruit and mango. Golden-copper in color, it has a light body, slight hop bitterness and malty sweetness, and finishes with a kiss of mango.

Another refreshing choice is Goose Island Summertime Kolsch. With a light fruity aroma and a bright, crisp finish, Goose Island Summertime Kölsch is the perfect summer session ale. A Kölsch beer brewed in the traditional German fashion, you'll find yourself enjoying and savoring each sip of Summertime.

If you are looking for something on the hoppier side of things, Uinta's new Tangerine Hop Nosh IPA will be right up your alley. Uinta took their classic Hop Nosh and added real tangerine juice to the brew, which adds a tartness that complements the notable tropical hop characteristics of the classic Hop Nosh.

Whatever your adventure is this summertime, we have a beer for ever palate. Be sure to check the rest of our summer seasonal selections on our website.

Employee of the Month

As a sign of our appreciation, every month we honor one employee as the "Employee of the Month" based on their work and staff recommendations.

For the month of March, we are proud to announce Josh, delivery supervisor, as employee of the month. Overseeing our entire fleet of drivers isn't an easy task. There have been a variety of route changes and Josh has handled all of them with patient and professionalism. Josh has also helped resolve a variety of customer service delivery issues throughout the transition, without negatively affecting sales and/or relationships with our customers.

We owe a big thanks to Josh for all of his contributions at National.

Think ahead...if you drink, don't drive!
Please consume our products responsibly!
