October 2015

With the brisk weather and changing leaves, it is really starting to feel like fall. Speaking of fall, we would like to thank everyone that attended our Fall Beverage Show at DiMillo's. It was an amazing turnout and everyone was in a festive mood.

Most of you have probably read the big news regarding the Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI.BR) and SABMiller (SAB.L) merger. Many of the details will be worked out as the merger is finalized, but as it stands right now this merger shouldn't affect our day-to-day operations. The Miller/Coors brands will stay with their respective distribution networks stateside. As we find out more about this monumental merger, we will keep you informed.

Also, Halloween is right around the corner. If you are in the festive spirit and want to show off your costume, be sure to check our Facebook and Twitter pages for all of our Halloween events/promos.

Lastly, be sure to check out our full product portfolio by going to our website at www.nat-dist.com and check out the "Our Products" section of the site. In an effort to be more eco-friendly and reduce the amount of paper used, we encourage our customers to access our price books and other materials via our Retailer Login page. If you do not already have a retailer login, simply contact us at orders@nat-dist.com or call customer service at 800.482.7495.

As always, we ask that while you're enjoying our products you consume them in a responsible manner.

New to Maine: Stoneface Brewing Co.

Stoneface Brewing Co. logoWe are excited to announce that we are now distributing beers by Stoneface Brewing Co. out of Newington, New Hampshire. The name Stoneface is a reference to the The Old Man in the Mountain, and the company's logo features a leafy hop cone with the profile of the famous rock formation. The company's motto, "Live Free, Drink Craft" pays respects to the Granite State's motto, "Live Free or Die."

Stoneface's brewer, Peter Beauregard, began home brewing in his senior year at the University of New Hampshire. He honed his recipes over the years, and in February 2013 he won the IPA category at the Boston Homebrew Competition. In 2014, Beauregard left his software industry job to brew beer full time and has been cranking out stellar brews ever since. In reference to Stoneface's hop-forward concoctions, Beauregard "hopes it's going to be a beer that beer geeks will like and also crossover drinkers or novices to craft beer." The response has been amazing so far with beer ratings in the 90s on ratebeer.com and beeradvocate.com.

Currently, National will have Stoneface's IPA and Porter in stock in kegs and bottles. Their American Pale Ale and American Red Rye Ale will be coming soon. Quantities are limited and subject to out of stock. Please ask your sales rep about availability.
