December 2015

It wasn't a white Christmas this year, but this first snowstorm of the winter is certainly making up for it. 2015 is almost over and we'll be entering our 55th year of operation. I would like to thank all of our customers and employees for another great year of business. This obviously would not be possible without their continued support. We pride ourselves in customer service and without our customers and hard-working staff we wouldn't be who we are today. Thanks to everyone involved and here's to many more years of business together! We will have plenty of new beer, wine and non-alc products coming in 2016, so keep your eyes peeled.

Just because the snow and colder weather has finally hit, that doesn't mean that you can't enjoy it. Nothing says "Maine winter" like sitting next to a warm fire after a day in the elements with a nice brew. We have an array of great winter seasonal beer selections currently available that are sure to make your reward after shoveling that much more satisfying! You can check out our winter seasonal beer products here. Most of these brews have limited availability. Once they are gone for the season, they're gone until next year. So, get yours today!

Also, you can check out our full product portfolio by going to our website at and the "Our Products" section of the site. New Craft Beers

For the New Year, we have a handful of new and limited release beers now available. Long Trail has been cranking out new styles in the last year and they show no sign of letting up coming into 2016.

Long Trail Smash Project was created to utilize a single malt and single hop to showcase the characteristics of each ingredient. Now on their third release from the project, the latest version features Munich malts and Equinox hops.

A new year-round offering from Long Trail is Unearthed; the alter-ego to the big and juicy Limbo IPA. This American stout is full of big notes of coffee and chocolate and darkly roasted malts that create this otherworldly stout.

In the fall of 2014, Harpoon brewers Ken Hermann and Tom Knight brewed a hoppy, citrusy, but not tire-out-the-palette-overly-bitter double IPA on their pilot system. The beer was put on tap in their employee lounge and at the Beer Hall in Boston and Riverbend Taps in Windsor. It became clear very quickly that this beer was too good to brew just they brought it back. Harpoon's Hoppy Adventure Double IPA is a flavorful, highly aromatic beer that is exactly how Tom and Ken originally intended it to be – a very drinkable and approachable double IPA. Back again this year, Hoppy Adventure double IPA has a pronounced citrus and tropical fruit aroma. Golden pale with a slight haze, it has a subtly sweet character from the malt profile and a crisp, hoppy finish.

If you're looking for something darker and stronger, then look no further than Uinta's Port O' Call. Aged in port barrels shipped directly from Portugal's Douro Valley, this Belgian Style Dark Ale developed a vinous character blended with toffee and caramel malt notes. With a distinctly Belgian nose, Port O' Call pours a dark copper with a creamy head accenting spicy yeast with hints of clove and banana.

Also from Uinta, we are excited to offer their Biere de Mars; a French-style spring ale aged in Chardonnay barrels. Fresh and bright, this French-style spring ale combines toasted malt character with a floral hop aroma. Aged in chardonnay barrels, Uinta's Biere de Mars boasts flavorful earthiness and unique complexity.
